Natural disasters are something that every place has to deal with. Let's face it, Mother Nature can be harsh at times; floods, tornados, and blizzards are all things that have been thrown at us. An especially difficult year was 1965; there was flooding in Chaska and Watertown, hail the size of golf balls around West Union, and a tornado damaged buildings around Young America. Despite these disasters, the county continues to prosper. We rebuild and brace ourselves for the next storm.
